Wabash Valley Athletic Association launches

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The Wabash Valley Athletic Association officially launched on Saturday. It's dedicated to enhancing sports programs for all. Organizers said they want to make sports programs more impactful for our community.

Those who attended Saturday's launch learned about the association's mission, vision, and goals for the future.

News 10 talked with the association's president, John Collett.

"There's multiple reasons, there's health benefits, I'm doing it for the kids and the community. I would like for our community to rally around high school sports, not just college sports when they happen to have a good season," he said.

Those in attendance learned how to get involved with the association and how to make a difference.
